The University of Redlands women's golf team jumped up to the No. 8 spot in the NCAA Division III rankings, which were announced Friday, September 20, by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
The Maroon and Gray took top-medalist honors at both the CA State Intercollegiate on September 16-17 and the Bulldog Fall Classic on September 21-22. The team made history at both tournaments, topping the record books with the new lowest two-round total of 587, and now, third-best, two-round total in the program with 590. First-year Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) led the charge averaging a 72 over four rounds.
Junior Annie Hay (University Place, WA) also landed among the top 10 at both outings.
Redlands looks to continue its success on Friday, September 27, in a tri-match against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Chapman University. The team tees off at the Tustin Ranch Golf Course in Tustin.
