Sophomore Annie Hay Earns SCIAC Women's Golfer of the Week for Exceptional Performance

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) has announced its weekly awards and sophomore Annie Hay (University Place, WA) represents the University of Redlands as the Women's Golfer of the Week for her contributions on April 6-7.

Following first-year Kendall Nicholson's (Bellevue, WA) selection on February 18, Redlands gains its second women's golfer of the week this season with Hay's award.

Hay dominated the field of the SCIAC Tournament No. 2 with rounds of 72 and 70 to take home medalist honors with a five-stroke lead. She moved from second place to win the tournament by registering 24 pars and 7 birdies over the two days.  In addition, her 36-hole tally of 142 places her third all-time at Redlands. This also marks her second tournament win of the season.

With her performance, she improved upon her previous season-low of 152, which came at the George Fox Westbrook Invite in mid-March.

Redlands heads to Pasadena for the three-day SCIAC Championship Tournament at the Brookside Golf Course on Thursday, April 18, through Saturday, April 20.
