First-Year Kendall Nicholson Impresses as SCIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

The University of Redlands secured three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) athletes of the week for February 10-17, including first-year Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) of the women's golf team.

She joins junior forward David Menary (Grass Valley, CA) of the men's basketball team and junior guard Cassandra Lacey (Victorville, CA) of the women's basketball team among this week's honorees.

Nicholson won the opening SCIAC Tournament with a 36-hole total of 151. She recorded a tournament-low score of 74 in the final 18 holes to improve upon her first round of 77. Nicholson also led the 48-woman field in par-three scoring with a minus-one 2.88.  She co-led the tournament with 25 pars to go along with three birdies in her SCIAC debut.
