Senior Caroline Ordian Named SCIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week

Senior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) of the University of Redlands has been named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week. This honor comes after her first-place finish at the George Fox University Westbrook Invitational over the weekend.

Ordian captured medalist honors at this tournament in back-to-back years. This season, she was an example of consistency by earning rounds of 72 and 71 to win the tournament at one over par on the Westbrook Village Golf Course. Her next closest competitor was three strokes behind, with the next closest SCIAC competitor five strokes away.

She recorded six birdies over the 36 holes, with four coming on day two. She continued the theme of consistency by registering 23 pars during the two days.

Ordian is joined by Bulldog senior thrower Reyna Ta'amu (Lakewood, CA) and sophomore high jumper Maliq Champion as the SCIAC Women's and Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
