Junior Caroline Ordian Tabbed SCIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week

It was announced earlier today that junior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) of the University of Redlands was tabbed the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for her contributions in two tournaments during the week of March 13.

Ordian led the eighth-ranked Bulldogs to a second-place showing at the Division III Spring Preview in Houston, TX, on Monday and Tuesday to start a busy week.  After co-leading the event through the opening 18 holes, she completed the tournament with a third-place score of 153 (74-79). Among the field, Ordian tied for fourth with 20 pars and tied for third in birdies with four.

She finished a solid week of competition by taking home medalist honors at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in Peoria, AZ.  As a team, the Bulldogs finished fourth with a two-day total of 614 (319-295), which was highlighted by Ordian's first-place effort.  She recorded a low total of 147 (77-70) before winning the first playoff hole to secure the individual championship and collect All-Tournament honors. Overall, she led the tournament in par-four scoring with a minus-one 3.95 to go along with five birdies and 23 pars.
