After a solid second day on the course at Oak Valley, the No. 4 University of Redlands women's golf team further secured its first-place position at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships with a field-best round of 313 on Monday. The Bulldogs remain atop the tournament standings with a 36-hole total of 622, which is nine strokes ahead of second-place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

With the lowest aggregate score of all seven conference rounds determining the SCIAC champion, the Bulldogs extended their advantage to 52 strokes with one round still to play.

On Monday, senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) highlighted the Bulldogs' impressive performances, as she shot a 76 to move into first place in the individual standings with a 36-hole total of 151. She remained consistent on the front nine by notching two birdies and five pars to leave her at one stroke over par. She finished her day-two round on a high note by birdying the 18th hole to sign her scorecard with a 76.

Junior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) was not far behind Meade's pace on day two, finishing with a score of 77. She excelled on the back nine by birdying the 11th and 14th holes, resulting in a nine-stroke improvement from Sunday's round. She is now in 16th place with a two-day total of 163.

Freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) continued her solid play by entering the clubhouse with a score of 78, which placed her tied for second at eight strokes over par (152). Ordian started off the day on a hot streak by notching back-to-back birdies on the first two holes to aid her current standing.

In addition, sophomore Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) matched Ordian's showing with a 78, which was assisted by 13 pars on the day. Sophomore Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) signed her scorecard with a day-two mark of 82 after notching one birdie and eight pars.
