With a spot in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament already in hand, the University of Redlands women's basketball team traveled to Pasadena for its second-to-last game of the regular season on Saturday night.  With the dynamic duo of senior forward Brittany Oster (Agoura Hills, CA) and senior guard Colleen Goeser (San Carlos, CA) leading the way, the Bulldogs used a late-game run to propel them to a 77-55 victory over the Caltech Beavers.

The Maroon and Gray captured an early 15-5 advantage before the home team answered with an impressive run, making it a tight 17-16 game in Redlands' favor with 6:53 left in the first half.

But Goeser answered on behalf of her team with a three-pointer that was quickly followed by a pair of free-throws to make it 22-16.

Caltech responded again to cut the deficit to two at 26-24, but Redlands' junior guard Kameran Dage (Walnut Creek, CA) hit her stride on a three-pointer with 2:36 left in the stanza.

The Bulldogs eventually built a 10-point lead to close out the opening frame, as Dage knocked down another shot from beyond the arc, while Oster and Goeser bookended the effort with successful jumpers.

Redlands' strong shooting and relentless rebounding kept the Beavers in a deficit, as the Bulldogs extended their lead to 26 points with 8:13 left in the game.  From here, the Maroon and Gray cruised to its 19th triumph of the season.  Senior forward Madison Sanders-Curry (San Jose, CA) led all players with eight rebounds, as the Maroon and Gray posted a 50-38 advantage on the glass.

Oster finished the night with 25 points for her fifth-consecutive game and 10th overall this season with 20 or more points.  She also provided seven boards, two blocks, and two assists.

Goeser recorded her seventh straight double-digit scoring effort, with tonight's 20-point performance coming on 6-for-8 shooting with a pair of buckets from downtown.  She also pulled in six rebounds and dished out six assists.

In addition, 10 players saw time off the bench for the Bulldogs, including freshman forward Nina Newman (San Mateo, CA), who scored a career-high 10 points in 11 minutes of action.

Redlands (19-5, 12-3 SCIAC) remains a half-game back of the co-leaders in the SCIAC with one contest remaining in the regular season.  The Bulldogs look forward to facing off with one of them –Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges—on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Ducey Gym.
