Multiple members of the University of Redlands track & field teams competed in one of two meets late last week and earned career-best marks for a solid performance by the Bulldogs.

Sophomore Chyenne Kimble (Big Bear Lake, CA), junior Kara Romani (Sacramento, CA), and first-year Hannah Albrecht (Cottage Grove, OR) represented the Maroon and Gray at the high-caliber Jim Click Shootout, where the trio competed in the Heptathlon on Thursday and Friday.  Kimble recorded a career-best score of 4,487 to take 11th at the meet and move up to second all-time in Redlands' history.  Among her highlights, she recorded a time of 14.77 in the 100 Hurdles and fired off a 200 time of 25.75 to finish ninth in each of these events.  Romani earned a score of 4,243 to take 14th at the meet, as highlighted by her ninth-place mark of 33' 6 ¾" in the Shot Put.  Finally, Albrecht gained great experience at this two-day competition and garnered a score of 4,083 for 15th overall.  She produced an eighth-place time of 2:29.07 in the 800 to go along with her ninth-place showing in the Javelin at 99' 8".

On Saturday, the Bulldogs competed in the Pomona-Pitzer Colleges Invite with continued success.  Senior Justine Keller (Portland, OR) uncorked a career-best time of 2:17.89 in the 800 to break into the Redlands top-10 list.  Sophomore Maria Ramirez (Orange, CA) ran a career-best time of 17:3.68 in the 5000 Meters for fourth place at the meet.  Finally, senior Mandy Widen (Vail, AZ) moved into a tie-for-13th place in NCAA Division III this season with her mark of 11' 7 ¾" in the Pole Vault.

For the men, first-year Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) ran a fourth-place time of 1:53.97 in the 800 Meters, which bettered his career best and now ranks 10th in the nation.  Junior Kyle Yano (Lake Forest, CA) also ran the fastest 3000 Steeplechase of his tenure by completing the race in 10:18.39.
