It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands women's track & field team continues to climb the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Outdoor rankings, with this week's list placing the Bulldogs at No. 18.

This poll is determined by a mathematical formula that calculates points from the NCAA Division III Descending Order Lists from the current campaign.  Based on this methodology, the Bulldogs amassed 58.45 points to rank 18th in all of NCAA Division III.

This is a jump of seven spots from the previous top-25 rankings as a result of a pair of top marks recorded this week by the Bulldogs.

Senior Alison Smith (McKinleyville, CA) continues to do her part for the Maroon and Gray, as she put together a career-best tally in the Heptathlon to rank first in the nation with 4,799 points.  She also owns the top mark in the 100 Hurdles at 14.12.

Smith, freshman Chyenne Kimble (Big Bear Lake, CA), senior Jasmine Ramos (Santa Fe Springs, CA), and sophomore Kara Romani (Sacramento, CA) join forces for the second-fastest 4x100 Relay that clocked a time of 47.30 earlier this month.

Furthermore, Romani boasts the sixth-best Heptathlon score of the season at 4,302.

Amidst the regional rankings, Redlands sits fourth, while the Bulldog men are sixth.
