It was recently announced that first-year diver Max Spiegel (Englewood, CO) represented the University of Redlands on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for his success in the classroom and the pool.

Spiegel receives Honorable Mention from the CSCAA for competing in the NCAA Regional Diving Championships while owning a GPA of 3.50 or higher.  He joins more than 1,100 recipients from all levels of collegiate swimming and diving to gain Honorable Mention, with an additional 1,069 earning First-Team nods for competing at the national championships and maintaining the minimum GPA.

Spiegel's stellar, first season with the Maroon and Gray culminated in an All-Region finish on the three-meter board after taking eighth at the NCAA Regional Championships in San Antonio, TX.

This individual award follows the Bulldogs' recent honor from the CSCAA that recognized each team for academic achievement during the spring semester.
