It was announced earlier today that University of Redlands senior Ellie Jaques (Covina, CA) was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for her success at the recent UPS Logger Invite in Tacoma, WA.

During the three-day competition, Jaques won two individual events, contributed to a winning relay, and swam on three other top-five relays in a solid performance.  Individually, she excelled in the 200 Breast and 200 Individual Medley with respective first-place times of 2:24.92 and 2:09.99.

She also swam the first 200 of the women's 800 Free Relay that fired off a third-place time of 7:56.92. This was more than six seconds faster than the quartet's seed time.

Finally, she contributed to the fourth-place 200 Medley Relay (1:50.70), the fourth-place 400 Medley Relay (4:03.55), and the fifth-place 200 Free Relay (1:41.60).
