The No. 8 University of Redlands men's tennis team returned to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action on Friday by hosting the Whittier College Poets in an afternoon showdown on Verdieck Courts.  With impressive results throughout the lineup, the Bulldogs rolled to an 8-1 victory.

In doubles, the Maroon and Gray looked to the No. 2 tandem of freshman Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) and sophomore Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) to set the tone with an 8-2 showing, before senior Jake Ly (Torrance, CA) and junior Joey Dulle (St. Louis, MO) registered an 8-3 win at the top slot.  Seniors Parker Wilson (Carlsbad, CA) and Tom Suchodolski (Amherst, MA) completed the doubles sweep with their 8-6 win at the No. 3 position.

Redlands continued to roll in singles, as junior Cooper Lacetera (Westhampton Beach, NY) dismissed his No. 6 opponent by scores of 6-0, 6-2.  Ly officially put this one in the books with his 6-2, 6-4 performance at No. 3.

In addition, Dulle, Suchodolski, and freshman Avery Davis (Jensen Beach, FL) took care of business in their respective matches, with each winning in straight sets.

Redlands (10-3, 3-0 SCIAC) welcomes No. 13 Williams College (MA) to Verdieck Courts on Saturday, March 25, for a 10 a.m. match.
