Redlands Men's Tennis Soars to No. 8 in National Rankings

It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands men's tennis team rose 10 spots in the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III National Team Rankings to No. 8 in the country.

After defeating Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in an incredible 5-4 comeback, the Bulldogs now sit one slot above the Sagehens.  In addition, Redlands is one of three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) ranked among the nation's top 10.

The Bulldogs have put together a hot start to the 2017 season with a 7-1 record that includes victories over five ranked Division III foes and one Division II competitor.

Sophomore Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) heads up the singles line-up and recently was named the SCIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.  He owns a 5-2 record thus far.  In addition, senior Parker Wilson (Carlsbad, CA), who also earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors, shores up the No. 2 slot in singles with a 7-1 mark this season.

Senior Jake Ly (Torrance, CA) and junior Joey Dulle (St. Louis, MO) headline the doubles tandems as the No. 1 team.  They are 5-3 on the season.
