Quinn Richards named SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

SCIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Release No. 7

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week in the eighth week of voting and University of Redlands senior forward Quinn Richards (San Clemente, CA) was selected as the Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.

Richards is now the third Bulldog Men's Soccer player to be recognized this season joining Skylar Darwen (Los Angeles, CA) and Peyton Menti (Seattle, WA) who were both selected as Defensive Athletes of the Week.

Richards led the Bulldogs to a perfect week where they beat the University of La Verne (5-0) and Whittier College (5-0) to keep them in a hunt for a top four spot within the upcoming SCIAC Tournament. UR totaled ten goals over the two games with Quinn tallying one of them along with a pair of assists.  He provided the eventual game-winner against the Leopards and added an assist on the second goal that provided insurance for the Maroon and Grey.  Then against the Poets he put up  an assist for the second goal of the game, which again added cushion for the Bulldogs in the road victory.

He took three shots over the two games for a .333 shot percentage.

Redlands returns to the pitch for their last game of the regular season this Saturday, October 29 when they host Chapman University for Senior Night beginning at 7:00pm.
