It was announced earlier today by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) that senior forward Chase Boone (Beaverton, OR) of the University of Redlands was named the SCIAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week for his contributions during the week of September 17.

Boone provided key offensive plays in the Bulldogs' two wins last week to help boost his squad to 6-0 in conference action thus far. He offered the second goal in the hard-fought, 3-2, win at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Wednesday night. At Whittier, Boone scored the game-winning goal in the 3-0 triumph over the Poets while also providing the subsequent two assists.  As a result of his stellar week, Boone is tied for first in the SCIAC with three assists.

Redlands (6-3-0, 6-0 SCIAC) looks forward to playing Chapman University at home on Wednesday, September 27, before hosting UC Santa Cruz for a non-conference match on Sunday, October 1.
