Dominant Duo Represents the Bulldog Men's Golf Team In All-SCIAC Selections

It was recently announced that two University of Redlands men's golfers landed among the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) teams, as voted upon by the head coaches of the member institutions.  Among the honorees, sophomore Jake Hollander (Peterborough, NH) represents the Bulldogs on the First Team, while sophomore Cameron Cooper (Seattle, WA) collects a Second-Team nod.

While earning his inaugural First-Team award, Hollander put together a solid season average of 72.8 during five conference rounds in 2018. His most recent accomplishment came a few weeks ago when he took home top medalist honors at the SCIAC Championship Tournament. After shooting a 71 on Sunday, Hollander impressed with a tournament-low 67 on Monday, which propelled him into first place to start the final round.  With consistency and determination, he held onto the lead with Tuesday's 72 to take the top spot.

Cooper earns his first All-SCIAC honor by taking a spot on the Second-Team in his second season with the Bulldogs.  He posted a conference average score of 74.14 in seven rounds. His lowest conference round of 73 came at the SCIAC Tournament No. 2 en route to his fourth-place finish at that event.  He also played a solid role in the Bulldogs' third-place finish at the SCIAC Championship Tournament coming in third as an individual.
