Junior Jack Roggin Garners SCIAC Men's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) office announced its first men's basketball weekly awards of the season and junior guard Jack Roggin (Toluca Lake, CA) was named Offensive Athlete of the Week on the opening weekend of competition.

Roggin made a strong first impression by helping his team to 1-1 record at the Bulldog Tip-Off Classic last weekend. In a tough overtime loss against No. 11 Texas-Dallas University, Roggin led the Maroon and Gray with 18 points, including a clutch go-ahead three-pointer to help send the game into overtime. The next day, he led the team in scoring with 19 points on a 5-for-7 clip from behind the arc, to go along with five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a 94-69 win over Linfield College (OR).

Through two games, Roggin nearly averages a double-double with 18.5 points per game and nine rebounds per game.
