SCIAC Football Weekly Release (No. 6)

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week in the sixth week of voting.  University of Redlands graduate student defensive lineman Brandon Serrano (Chino, CA) was selected as the Football Defensive Athlete of the Week following a 51-7 victory over the University of La Verne.   

Serrano keyed the Redlands defense in their second straight conference victory leading the Bulldogs with three tackles - all behind the line of scrimmage, highlighted by two sacks for a total of eight yards lost.  He anchored the Redlands defense that allowed just 175 yards of total offense for the Leopards, 17 of which came in the second half.

The University of Redlands Football team looks forward to a home game this Saturday, October 16 against Pomona-Pitzer beginning at 7:00pm.
