SCIAC Football Weekly Release (No. 5)

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week in the fifth week of voting.  University of Redlands senior defensive back Jadin Michaels (Palm Springs, CA) was selected as the Football Defensive Athlete of the Week following a 22-19 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. 

Jadin helped steer Redlands to the road win against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) in the SCIAC opener for both teams. Michaels notched five tackles (three solo, two assisted), added a pass break-up and an interception in the winning effort. The pick, which he returned eight yards, gave the Bulldogs a short field just before halftime and the Bulldogs capitalized with a touchdown to set the score at 14-6. 

The Maroon and Grey remain on the road this Saturday, October 9 when they travel to take on the University of La Verne beginning at 1:00pm.
