Junior Kicker Nathan Hierlihy Bookends Season with Second SCIAC Football Athlete of the Week Award

Junior kicker Nathan Hierlihy (Redondo Beach, CA) of the University of Redlands was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Football Athlete of the Week in the final week of the regular season. 

Hierlihy was instrumental in the Bulldogs' 21-17 victory over Cal Lutheran University to keep the Smudge Pot at Redlands for the fifth-consecutive season.  He scored 15 points on five successful field goals, with the longest one coming from 50 yards.  He also converted four attempts between 21 and 25 yards in length.

In addition, Hierlihy provided seven kickoffs, including five touchbacks, for an average distance of 64.8 yards.  In four punts, he put up an average of 45.3 yards, with the longest being 55 yards.

This is Hierlihy's second SCIAC Athlete of the Week nod after earning the accolade in the inaugural week of the current campaign.
