Bulldog Basketball Hosts Fan Appreciation Night on February 9 against Occidental

The University of Redlands and Bulldog basketball are pleased to invite the community to "Fan Appreciation Night" on Saturday, February 9. The first 100 fans in attendance at each game will receive a free Bulldog basketball T-shirt, provided by the University of Redlands' Department of Athletics and the Bulldog Bench.

T-shirts vary in size from small to extra large and are limited to one per fan in attendance at Saturday's games. All fans are invited to don their t-shirt during the Bulldogs' important Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) showdown against the visiting Tigers of Occidental College. The women tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the men's game at approximately 7 p.m. in Currier Gym.

Distribution of the T-shirts will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

This year's design includes the Bulldog Athletics Twitter name, @GoRedlands, as well as the school's popular tag line, Bulldog for Life. In addition, the back of the T-shirts displays the NCAA Division III logo that reveals the three Ds to DIII: Discover, Develop, and Dedicate.

Tickets for the doubleheader are $7 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and students 12-18 years old with school ID, and free to children under 12 years old. All University of Redlands students and employees with ID are admitted free of charge.

As of today, the Bulldog men sit in first place in the top-heavy conference standings with an overall record of 15-5 to go along with a 10-1 mark in SCIAC. Redlands' women (15-5, 8-3 SCIAC) have moved into a tie for second place with Occidental, revealing the importance and excitement of Saturday's clash with the Tigers.
