The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) formally announced the members of the 2020-21 All-Academic Teams, which included 202 roster spots from the University of Redlands athletics programs. Seniors accounted for 40 of the amazing selections. Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and a modified student-athlete experience, the Bulldogs stepped up in the classroom, both in-person and online, throughout the unprecedented year.
The SCIAC All-Academic Teams recognize student-athletes who maintain a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.40 or higher while completing at least one full calendar year at their current institution as a member of a varsity program.
Redlands gained a minimum of two honorees in 20 of 21 programs. Also with the largest roster, football earned the most with 30 representatives on the All-Academic Teams.
Overall, the Redlands women's tennis team captured the highest combined GPA with a 3.69, while the Bulldog swimming & diving team led the men's sports with a team GPA of 3.46. Every squad exceeded a team GPA of 3.0 after Spring 2021.
