Tucker Cargile and Isabella Glenn Qualify for Div. III National Championships

REDLANDS, Calif. - Two members of the University of Redlands Cross Country teams snagged automatic qualifying bids to the 2021 NCAA Division III National Championships based on their stellar performances at the Division III West Regionals this past weekend.

Spalding University (KY) and the Louisville Sports Commission are set to host the Championships in Louisville, KY at Tom Sawyer Park this Saturday, November 20, with the men competing at 11:00am ET and the women at 12:00pm ET.

Graduate Student Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) will make his third appearance at nationals in his career after taking 5th at the Regionals with a time of 25:07.3.  In 2019 he made history for the University of Redlands Cross-Country program after he posted an 8k-Time of 24:51.1, which put him 24th overall out of 280 runners.  With that finish he also secured himself the program's first All-American after posting an average mile time of 4:59.5.

Senior Isabella Glenn (Seattle, WA) makes her first appearance at Nationals in her career after running to an 11th place finish, a career high at Regionals with a mark of 22:34.6.  In 2019 she missed out on a spot to go to nationals after finishing 17th in the field at the SCIAC Championships (23:17.1).

Both runners this year are coming off of being named 1st Team All-West Region and 1st Team All-SCIAC.
