CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's and Women's Cross Country teams finished strong over the weekend during the 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Cross Country Championships. The women posted a 4th Place (112 Points) finish and the men 5th (133 Points).
On the men's side graduate student Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) finished fifth overall with a time of 24:46.9 in the men's 8K. He had an average mile pace of 4:59. For the women, Isabella Glenn (Seattle, WA) led the way again for the Maroon and Grey with an eighth-place finish posting a time of 22:21.0 and a pace of 6:00 a mile in the 6K.

- 52nd – Rogelio Salcido (Beaumont, CA): 26:52.9, 5:24/M
- 59th – Brandon Farnsworth (Palos Verdes Estates, CA): 27:05.6, 5:27/M
- 61st – Quentin Olive-Larson (Fort Collins, CO): 27:08.6, 5:28/M
- 65th – Miguel Fausto (Whittier, CA): 27:16.0, 5:29/M
- 80th – Aaron Selikovitz (Los Angeles, CA): 27:51.2, 5:36/M
- 89th – Joey Roberts (San Diego, CA): 28:05.5, 5:39/M
The men finished 10 points out of fourth place (La Verne) and 14 points out of third place (Occidental College).
Women's Finishers:
- 8th – Glenn: 22:21.0, 6:00/M
- 17th – Alexis Wallace (Orangevale, CA): 22:57.8, 6:10/M
- 19th – Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR): 23:05.9, 6:12/M
- 46th – Sheriane Greene (Grass Valley, CA): 24:24.2, 6:33/M
- 56th – Destiny Jacobo (Running Springs, CA): 24:41.8, 6:37/M
- 59th – Cece Matteson (Seattle, WA): 24:55.6, 6:41/M
- 70th – Sailor Brown (San Diego, CA): 26:06.2, 7:00/M
The Bulldogs fell unlucky trailing Caltech (3rd) by a mere five points. Their 1:57:30.5 combined time from their top five was 16.7 seconds faster than Caltech's, but it was not enough to claim a top-three spot.
For those that qualified, the NCAA Division III West Regionals await them on Saturday, November 13 in Claremont, CA.
