Redlands Women’s Water Polo named ACWPC All-Academic | 15 earn Individual Accolades

REDLANDS, Calif. – It was announced this week by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) that 17 members of the University of Redlands women's team collected All-Academic recognition for their success in the classroom during the 2021-22 school year.  In addition, the Bulldogs ranked 23rd among all team recipients for collectively exceeding the minimum grade point average of 3.00.  As a group, they finished with a 3.48 Cumulative GPA.

The ACWPC All-Academic list includes individuals over three categories of scholarly achievement based on GPA, including "outstanding" (4.0-3.71), "superior" (3.70-3.41), and "excellent" (3.40-3.20).

The Bulldogs hauled in six "outstanding" awards, six "superior" nods, and three "excellent" honors in an impressive showing.

Senior attacker Holly Kvanvig (Beaverton, OR) and senior defender Alexandria Feeley (Menlo Park, CA) lead the Maroon and Grey finding themselves on the academic team for the third time in their careers.  They join sophomore attacker Courtney Sawin (Tacoma, WA), junior utility Katrina Nielsen (Houston, TX), sophomore attacker Kaitlynn Pierceall (Beaumont, CA), and first year attacker Christine Chua (Arcadia, CA) being named "Outstanding" recipients. 

Junior goalie Tori Zielinski (Sunnyvale, CA) heads the "Superior" category earning recognition for the second time in her career and is joined by first year attacker Emma Parker (Yucaipa, CA), junior attacker Danielle Cary (Riverside, CA), sophomore attacker Emily Feliciano (Tacoma, WA), first year center Rachel Lamb (Norco, CA), and first year center Sydney Sereg (Fullerton, CA)

Rounding out the group of impressive student-athletes is first year attacker Anika Lundbaek (San Anselmo, CA), sophomore attacker Hailey Guerrero (San Jose, CA), and sophomore attacker Sofia Portello (Sonoma, CA) who collected "Excellent" acknowledgements with their first ACWPC All-Academic Award.
