Women’s Tennis finishes Nationally Ranked No. 23 in ITA Division III, No. 6 in West Region

2023 Final ITA Division III Rankings

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the final NCAA Division III National and Regional rankings for 2023, with the University of Redlands Women's Tennis team coming in at No. 23 in the nation and No. 6 in the West Region.

The Bulldogs started the year off ranked No. 15 nationally and after a trio of wins early over No. 14 Mary Washington (7-2), No. 23 Christopher Newport (6-3) and No. 16 Bowdoin (5-4) the Maroon and Grey bumped up to No. 14. 

Redlands ended the year 9-6, 4-3 SCIAC, secured the No. 3 seed in the SCIAC Tournament and finished third in the final conference standings.  They had three All-SCIAC performers, which included Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, CA) (1st Team), Olivia Rockwood (Park City, UT) (1st Team), and Kiana Brady (Hermosa Beach, CA) (2nd Team).

Individually, senior Bolock was the lone Bulldog to earn a singles ranking in the West Region coming in at No. 12 following an 8-4, 3-3 SCIAC record playing at the top spot.  She was also on a team with Rockwood in doubles who were ranked No. 4 in the West.  The top duo for the U of R went 10-4, 5-2 SCIAC. 

A second team to get recognized in the rankings for Redlands was sophomore pairing Brady and Christine O'Brien (Leawood, KS) who finished at No. 15 following a strong year in the No. 2 slot going 9-5, 4-3 SCIAC.
