The University of Redlands women's lacrosse team welcomed Meiji University from Japan to Farquhar Field on Monday night for a friendly exhibition game.  The Bulldogs used nearly every available player in a total-team effort that propelled them to a 17-4 victory with 11 different goal-scorers.

Overall, the match was viewed as a cultural experience that rings true to Head Coach Suzette Soboti's general philosophy for her teams at Redlands.

"This was a great chance for us to meet new friends and learn about another culture through sport," she commented. "Both teams had a lot of fun and it was a great opportunity for each of us."

Soboti has consistently taken her lacrosse and soccer teams abroad during the summer or May Term for an international, competitive experience.

Tonight's competition brought the international flair to Farquhar Field to provide yet another valuable perspective for the student-athletes.

Following the competition, the teams participated in a gift exchange and gathered for a photo together.
