Hannah Jugar, Kendall Nicholson, and Andrea York named WGCA All-Americans

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced their 2023 NCAA Division III Awards and earning All-America honors from the University of Redlands was Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA), Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA), and Andrea York (Oakdale, CA).

Jugar was named to the 1st Team for the fourth-straight season. She becomes the second Bulldog to become a 1st Team All-American four times in their career, joining Caroline Ordian from 2015-2018.

Jugar finished the 2022-23 season as the NCAA Division III national runner-up, her highest career finish. During the season she completed 23 rounds of golf and finished with a 73.69 average, the second lowest in program history, only 0.08 shots higher than her 2021-22 average. In her career she played 70 rounds with an average of 74.05, her lowest career average, 1.217 shots better than second place.

Nicholson makes a WGCA All-America team for the second time in her career as she makes the 2nd Team for the first time. She is one of only four Bulldogs to earn All-American status multiple times.

During the 2022-23 season she won one event and was the top Redlands' finisher four times. Overall, she shot 23 rounds with an average of 75.39, the seventh lowest in program history and a new career-low. This past season adds her fourth season into the Top-20 lowest single-season lowest round averages. Her career average finishes at 78.01, the fourth lowest.

York made the 2nd Team, her first All-America recognition, making her the eighth Bulldog to earn the accolade. During her junior season she shot 23 rounds with an average of 76.26, the 12th lowest in program history. It is her second consecutive season posting a Top-20 mark.

The Bulldogs finished tied for sixth at the NCAA Division III National Championships and spent the majority of the season ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the country and will look to continue their success in 2023-24 despite the losses of Jugar and Nicholson.
