    Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, Calif.) of the University of Redlands Women’s Golf team was selected by the SCIAC as one of the league's two nominees for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award and the D3 Commissioner's Association Women's Sports Student-Athlete of the Year, the conference office announced this past week.

    The 2022-23 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was announced recently with 1,401 women’s collegiate golfers from 378 programs recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high level academic achievements of the players.

    HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The University of Redlands women’s golf team ended the shortened 2023 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Women’s Golf Championship in sixth place after shooting their best round of the tournament, a 304, as they finished with a three-round total of 951 (320-327-304). Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, Calif.) made the podium as she tied as the national runner-up after a final round 72, the third lowest of the day.
  • U of R Women's Golf drops into a tie for 8th at NCAA Championships

    HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The University of Redlands women’s golf team finished the second round at the NCAA Championships in a tie for eighth place. The Bulldogs trail the new leaders No. 4 George Fox University (GFU) by 18 strokes after 36 holes. After shooting a 320 yesterday, they shot a 327, combine that will generally better scores from everyone except two teams (both only one stroke worse) ahead of them, and they slid more than a seven-stroke drop off would normally cause.

    REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands women’s golf team earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida on Tuesday-Friday, May 9-12 at the Mission Hills Resort. The Bulldogs finished second in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) standings behind Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) who will be the No. 6 seed. Redlands, though, earned the No. 1 overall seed thanks to winning a nation’s best six events and being ranking No. 1 or No. 2 in the country since the end of last September. Joining P-P and Redlands from SCIAC is Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) who won the SCIAC Championships and finished third overall and will be the No. 7 seed.

Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, Calif.) earned the Character Award and head coach Jamie Zantua and assistant Brad Brier were named the SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year.

  • Redlands Women's Golf falls short for AQ Bid at SCIAC Championships

    VENTURA, Calif. – The No. 1 University of Redlands women’s golf team was unable to finish off their overall Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship title Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs were 10 strokes clear of the Sagehens in the overall standings heading into the final round, but they were outshot by 11 strokes and were beaten by a single stroke for the conference title.

    VENTURA, Calif. – The No. 1 University of Redlands women’s golf team maintained their third place standing at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships despite shooting a 287 and posting a 586 two-round score, both of which sit inside the top-10 in program history. They currently find themselves 16 strokes behind the leader No. 8 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS), but only six strokes out of second place held by No. 6 Pomona-Pitzer (P-P).

They sit 13 strokes behind No. 8 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) who are the leaders after they shot a 286.

    POMONA, Calif. – The University of Redlands women’s golf team overcame a three-stroke deficit to Golfstat’s No. 6 team in the country, Pomona-Pitzer (P-P), after round one to win the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 2 by three strokes at the Mountain Meadows Golf Club. With the win the Bulldogs have now secured both SCIAC Tournaments heading into a break before the SCIAC Championships start at the end of the month.

    PEORIA, Ariz. – The University of Redlands women's golf team completed their two-day, two-round Tournament at the Westbrook Invite at the Lakes hosted at the Westbrook Village Golf Club where they finished third with a score of 592. Andrea York (Oakdale, Calif.) took fourth as the highest Bulldog finisher.
