2022 Women's Golf All-SCIAC Teams

REDLANDS, Calif. - The 2022 All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Golf honors were announced Friday, following a vote by the league's member head coaches.

The University of Redlands saw four players land amongst the two teams, which included first teamers Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA), Iris Liu (Diamond Bar, CA), and Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) along with second teamer Andrea York (Oakdale, CA).

Jugar finds herself on the 1st Team for the second straight year and looked to make it back-to-back years being named SCIAC Athlete of the Year following a successful 2022 conference slate.  Over the seven rounds within conference she posted a 76.57 average.  She opened up the conference schedule finishing in a tie for 9th at SCIAC No. 1 after shooting a 79-73.  She then improved upon that taking 5th at SCIAC No. 2 improving eleven shots between rounds to go 84-73.  But she saved her best for last finishing in a tie for 4th at the SCIAC Championships posting rounds of 74-70-83.

Nicholson continues to impress with a solid resume here at the University of Redlands being named 1st Team All-SCIAC for the third time in her career.  She was also named the SCIAC Newcomer of the Year back in 2019.  Within conference she averaged a 77.42.  Got off to a strong start to the conference schedule with a 74-75 at SCIAC No. 1 that placed her 5th overall.  She had a hiccup at SCIAC No. 2 posting an 81-80 that put her in a tie for 15th, but she rebounded nicely at the SCIAC Championships coming in a tie for 9th after a consistent three days of a 76-77-79.

Liu was the last Bulldog to land on the 1st Team, which is the first time in her career.  She averaged a 78.28 across her seven rounds.  After going 80-82 at SCIAC No. 1, which placed her 24th overall, she came back to take 3rd at SCIAC No. 2 posting scores of 76-79.  Then to end the conference schedule she would go into the SCIAC Championships putting together consistent scores of 78-76-77, which was good enough to finish in a tie for 6th.

York also found herself on an All-SCIAC team for the first time in her career.  She averaged an 80.00 across her seven rounds within conference.  She got off to a slow start coming in a tie for 25th at SCIAC No. 1 after shooting an 81-82.  She did rebound nicely though at SCIAC No. 2 coming in 2nd overall with a 78-74.  Then to end the conference schedule she would total an 83-76-86 at the SCIAC Championships, which put her in a tie for 20th.

Redlands is currently in Houston, TX for the NCAA Division III National Championships taking place at Bay Oaks Country Club from May 10-13.
