Bulldog Women's Golf Moves Up to No. 3 in WGCA and Golfstat Div. III National Rankings

Golfstat NCAA DIII Top-25 Rankings

REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands women's golf team received the No. 3 ranking from Golfstat.com for the NCAA Division III women's golf Top-25 rankings. The Bulldogs move to No. 3 coincides with the Bulldogs finishing second at the Jekyll Island Invitational in Jekyll Island, Ga. where they finished second behind the No. 2 team in the country, Emory University, but ahead of No. 1 Carnegie Mellon. Redlands also beat out four other top-10 teams: No. 4 Methodist University, No. 7 Centre College, No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer, and No. 10 Washington & Lee University.

During the Jekyll Island Invitation, the Bulldogs were led by reigning SCIAC Women's Golfer of the Week Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, Calif.) who finished tied for third with a three-day score of 213 with round totals of 73, 71, and 69. Malia Kiger (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) was tied for 12th with a 70 second round score as the other Bulldog in the top-15.

On the season the Bulldogs have a team win at Cal Lutheran (Feb. 12-13), a third-place finish at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 1 (Feb. 26-27), and second place finish at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational (Mar. 12-13) in Arizona.

The Bulldogs now prepare to host the Bulldog Spring Classic at The S Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. this Saturday and Sunday.
