2022 University of Redlands Women's Golf Schedule
REDLANDS, Calif. – Jack Stewart, Head Coach for the University of Redlands Women's Golf team announced his 2022 schedule Tuesday, which includes a pair of trips to Phoenix, AZ and Jekyll Island, GA.
The Maroon and Grey will jumpstart their spring season this weekend, February 12-13 when they take part in a head-to-head match-up with Cal Lutheran University at Mountain Meadows Golf Club. They then end February with SCIAC No. 1, which will take place at Olivas Links Golf Club in Ventura, CA.
March will be a full month of competition for the Bulldogs with three tournaments. They travel to Phoenix, AZ on March 12-13 for the George Fox Westbrook Invitational (Westbrook Village Golf Club) and then return only to leave the very next week, March 18-20 for the Jekyll Island Invitational in Jekyll Island, GA (Jekyll Island Golf Club-Pine Lakes). They then end the month hosting the annual Bulldog Spring Classic on March 26-27 at Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs (The S Club).
Two conference tournaments will be the schedule in April for the U of R. They travel for SCIAC No. 2 on April 9-10, which will take place at Industry Hills Golf Club in the City of Industry. Then to end the month the Bulldogs will be hosting the SCIAC Championships April 24-26 in Beaumont, CA at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon).
Redlands has had a strong start to their 2021-22 season putting together an outstanding fall finishing third at the California State Intercollegiate, second at the Redlands Fall Shootout, and second at the NCAA Division III Preview Tournament in Houston, Texas. They are currently ranked No. 8 in the Division III National Polls according to the Mizuno/WGCA Coaches Polls and No. 9 according to Golfstat.
Tournament Schedule History
(All tournaments are listed in order from the schedule, only non-conference tournaments included)
- Cal Lutheran (Pomona, Calif., Mountain Meadows Golf Club): The last time the Bulldogs were at the Mountain Meadows GC was at the 2020 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament.
- George Fox Westbrook Invitational (Phoenix, Ari., Westbrook Village Golf Club): The 2020 edition was cancelled. The Bulldogs took third in the spring of 2019.
- Jekyll Island Invitational (Oglethorpe) (Jekyll Island, Ga., Jekyll Island Golf Club-Pine Lakes): The 2020 tournament was cancelled. The Bulldogs have not played in this tournament or competed in Georgia as of Spring 2008.
- Bulldog Spring Classic (Rancho Mirage, Calif., The S Club): The Bulldogs hosted and won the 2021 Tournament
- NCAA Championships (Houston, Texas, Bay Oaks Country Club): The Bulldogs were at this site for the Preview Tournament at the end of September 2021 and sat in second place prior to the cancellation of the tournament due to weather. The NCAA Championships were there in 2019 and the Bulldogs finished 10th as a team.
