Amberlynn Dorsey's Co-Medalist Honor Propels Redlands Women's Golf to Third-Place Finish at George Fox Westbrook Invitational

The No. 6 University of Redlands women's golf team finished out the two-day George Fox Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, AZ, on Sunday afternoon and earned a third-place finish with consistent scores of 302 and 301. Senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) led the Bulldogs with her co-medalist performance that came off of rounds of 71 for even par over 36 holes.

Dorsey helmed the Bulldogs as she tied for first place in the invite by signing her scorecard with an overall stroke count of 142. On day two, she notched a birdie on the fourth hole and continued to hole five–straight pars to take a one-under stroke count into the back nine. From there, she notched two more birdies to lead to an even score of 71 en route to her tied-for-first-place finish.

Sophomore Caroline Ordian (Riverside, CA) hauled in the bronze in the individual standings after totaling a 143, which included a day-one best of 69. Furthermore, Ordian notched four birdies that all came in day-one action.

Junior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) placed in the top 20 by penciling a score of 156 (80-76) to take 18th place, while junior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) finished closely behind her with a score of 162 (82-80) for 26th on the individual leaderboard.

Senior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) rounded out the Bulldog scoring by earning a two-day total of 163 (83-80), while junior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) competed as an individual in the tournament and recorded scores of 81 and 83.

The Bulldogs compete in the CSUMB Otter Invitational in Seaside, starting Monday, March 21.
