Caroline Ordian's Medalist Honors Propels U of R Women's Golf to First-Place Finish at SCIAC Tournament No. 1

The No. 11 University of Redlands women's golf team shined at the opening Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, out-shooting the field by 29 strokes to win the two-day event.  In addition, freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) led the Bulldogs with her first-place tally of 155 (78-77), which contributed to their overall team score of 646.

Redlands was followed by Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (675) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (676).

In addition to Ordian's outstanding performance, Amberlynn Dorsey fired off a 36-hole total of 158 to take second overall.  Her opening round of 73 was first among the competition.

Dalton Meade put together a seventh-place score of 165, while McKenna Pautsch tied for 13th after coming off the course at Robinson Ranch with rounds of 82 and 86.

Redlands heads to the Paiute Golf Resort for the Las Vegas Desert Classic on Sunday, March 1, and Monday, March 2.
