U of R Women’s Basketball Receives Votes in D3hoops.com Top 25

D3Hoops.com Top 25 Division III Polls (Week 6)

REDLANDS, Calif. – D3hoops.com released their Division III Top 25 National Rankings for Women's Basketball Tuesday morning in the sixth week of voting and the University of Redlands Women's Basketball team found themselves for the first time this season receiving votes.

The Bulldogs, who are currently 10-2, 6-0 SCIAC picked up three votes, jumping ahead of UC Santa Cruz (2 Votes), Ohio Northern (1 Vote), Puget Sound (1 Vote), and Salisbury (1 Vote). 

They are though within a few points of WPI (10 Votes), Millikin (9 Votes), Augsburg (8 Votes), Gettysburg (8 Votes), Scranton (8 Votes), and Gustavus Adolphus (7 Votes). 

The biggest win for the Maroon and Grey this season came against No. 13 Wartburg College 72-65 back on December 20, 2021.  They also have wins over Northwest Conference opponents Linfield (75-61), Willamette (65-50), and Pacific (91-78).  They are currently undefeated in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play at 6-0, which includes victories over Claremont-M-S, Whittier College, Chapman University, Cal Lutheran University, Caltech, and Pomona-Pitzer.

They return to the court this Wednesday, January 19 when they host the University of La Verne beginning at 7:00pm.        

The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Points are awarded on a 25-24-23-22-etc. basis.
