Redlands Track and Field picks up three podium at NAU Tune-Up

Flagstaff, Ariz. – The University of Redlands Track and Field teams sent a group of athletes back to Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, AZ for the NAU Tune Up, their second indoor meet on the season.  

Men

The Bulldogs sent athletes who competed in the 60M, 200M, 400M, and High Jump. Cristian Megas (Palmdale, CA) came in fourth in the 200M final with a time of 21.95.

In the high jump Jacob Huset (Tacoma, WA) took third with a jump of 2.03m/6' 7.75", which he set on his fourth height. He beat his previous personal best of 2.02m, 6' 7.5" from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC)  Championships last season when he took home first place.

Women

Redlands sent a slightly larger contingent on the women's side with athletes competing in the 60M, 200M, Mile, 60M Hurdles, Long Jump, and Triple Jump.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs were Ciara Aw (Shoreline, WA) and Maigan Adams (Los Angeles, CA) who took second and third respectively in the long jump and triple jump.

For Aw she jumped 5.64m/18' 6", a new personal best. It improves her previous best from the Redlands Invitational last March when she won the event with a 5.58m/18' 3.75" jump.

Adams did not set a personal best but still managed to beat out two Division I athletes while only finishing behind two more Division I athletes with a mark of 11.09m/36' 4.75".

Other notable finishes came from Sydney Harness (Henderson, NV) who took fifth in the 200M with a time of 25.74 and Alexandra Ackerman (Lak Elsinore, CA) who also ran the 200M and finished seventh with a time of 26.03.

Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) ran the mile again, finishing fourth with a 5:19.59, only 1.35 seconds off her personal best time she set at NAU two weeks prior.
