Tucker Cargile, Andrea Lyon, and Women’s 4x100 Relay Team named NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field All-Americans

GENEVA, OH –The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships came to a close Saturday with the University of Redlands Track & Field team gathering three All-American nods coming in the Men's 800m, Women's 400m, and the Women's 4x100 Relay.

A combined five Bulldog student-athletes were recognized with Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) becoming an All-American in the 800m for the second time in his career, Andrea Lyon (Danville, CA) earned All-American status for the first time in her career coming in the 400m before collecting her second All-American accolade of the Championships in the Women's 4x100 Relay, joining Courtney O'Neal (Las Vegas, NV), Alexandra Ackerman (Lake Elsinore, CA), and Sydney Harness (Henderson, NV).

O'Neal, Ackerman, and Harness now earn All-American status for the first time in their careers.

Cargile improved from his 7th place finish in the 800m Prelims (1:50.54) posting a 1:50.80 in the finals, which put him 3rd

Lyon, who competed in three events (200m, 400m, 4x100 Relay) over the three days became an All-American in two of the three and almost came away with a sweep.  In her first individual event, the 400m she made the podium in 8th with a time of 55.81 becoming an All-American.  Then to end her competition schedule she looked to get back onto the podium in the 200m, but came up short finishing 9th with a 24.44.

The Women's 4x100 Relay team got the Maroon and Grey off on the right foot collecting the first pieces of All-American hardware coming in 2nd with a time of 46.45, getting edged by Loras (46.29), in what proved to be one of the closest finishes of the day.     

Isabella Glenn (Seattle, WA) looked to become an All-American in the 3000m Steeplechase, but finished two spots out of a podium finish taking 10th with a time of 10:51.95, which was an improvement of 7.23 seconds from her preliminary run.
