Tucker Cargile named SCIAC Track Athlete of the Week

SCIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Release No. 8

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Track & Field Athletes of the Week in the eighth week of voting and University of Redlands senior mid-distance runner Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) was named the SCIAC Track Athlete of the Week for the first time this year.

Tucker led the University of Redlands at SCIAC No. 2 as he won the 800-meter run (1:53.49), and the 1500-meter event (3:53.82). He also contributed to the 4x400-meter relay team that won the race with a time of 3:24.87.  In the Division III National Rankings he is now No. 12 in the 800m and the No. 11 in the 1500m.   

Redlands returns to competition this weekend, April 8-9.  The team will participate in the Whittier Twilight Meet on Friday, April 8 and then the Pomona-Pitzer Invite on Saturday, April 9.
