Select members of the University of Redlands track & field teams competed at the All-on-the-Line Westmont Open on Saturday in Montecito.  With hopes of moving up on the qualifier list for the NCAA Division III Championships, the Bulldogs put together strong results in varying events.

Highlighting the effort, sophomore Nick Burchett (Gold River, CA) improved his position in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 53.30, which places him 12th in all of Division III this season.  He finished second at the meet.

In addition, junior Wyatt Pannabecker (Choteau, MT) registered a leap of 45' 3 ¾" in the Triple Jump to take third on Saturday.

For the women, freshman Gabi Gould (Bellingham, WA) cleared a second-place height of 12' ½" in the Pole Vault to move up to 27th in the nation.

Junior Kaylee Jorgensen (Claremont, CA) ran the 1500 Meters in 4:59.18 for another sub-five minute mark of the season.  Freshmen Jessica Fields (Las Vegas, CA) and Chyenne Kimble (Big Bear Lake, CA) posted quality times in the 100 Hurdles for third (14.89) and fourth (15.84), respectively.

Redlands looks forward to hosting the Final Qualifier Meet on Wednesday, May 17, and Thursday, May 18, on Ashel Cunningham Track in Ted Runner Stadium.
