Madison Petschauer named SCIAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week for Swimming & Diving in the second week of voting.  University of Redlands sophomore Madison Petschauer (Cary, N.C.) was selected as the Women's Swimmer of the Week. 

Madison led the U of R at the Bulldog Pentathlon as she finished first overall in the field of 77 swimmers, and secured a combined time of 5:02.96. Petschauer won three of her five events at the meet including the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.42, the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:01.64, and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.53. She also earned second place in the 100-yard freestyle (55.48) and the 100-yard individual medley (1:00.89). 

The University of Redlands Swimming & Diving team returns to the pool next month, November 6 when they host a tri-meet at 10:30am with the University of La Verne and Biola University.
