SCIAC Men's Water Polo Weekly Release No. 2

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Water Polo Athletes of the Week in the second week of voting and University of Redlands sophomore attacker Ron Gvishi (Kiryat Tivon, Israel) was selected as the Offensive Athlete of the Week. 

Gvishi poured in six goals and six assists over three games for the Bulldogs as they beat Fresno Pacific University and Concordia University. He tallied 10 points in a dominant 22-7 display over FPU, then added an assist and three steals in a close 10-9 loss to Division I United States Air Force Academy and a goal with two steals in a cagey 9-6 battle with Concordia.

Redlands begins a five-game road trip beginning with the Air Force Academy Invite this weekend, September 17-18.  They will travel to Colorado Springs, CO and will take on St. Francis (NY), Air Force Academy, Iona, and Westcliff.  Upon their return they will then open up SCIAC Competition on the road against Chapman University on September 24.
