2021-22 (Senior)

Opened his senior season with a pair of singles wins at the ITA West Regional Championships (Oct. 1-2) ... Won a pair of matches vs. Vassar (Mar. 9) and vs. Hardin-Simmons (Mar. 12), 6-2, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-2 ... His final singles win came in a conference match vs. Whittier (Apr. 29) when he won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0 ... On the doubles side, Yip won his first two matches of the season with Stefan Hester 8 (9)-7 (7) and 8 (7)-7 (5) at the ITA West Regional Championships (Oct. 2) ... Went on a three-match winning streak vs. Amherst (Mar. 16)vs. Whitman (Mar. 18), and vs. Cal Lutheran (Mar. 19) ... Won his final doubles match with Thomas Reznik, 8-6, vs. Whittier (Apr. 29).

2019-20 (Sophomore | COVID-19 season)

  • Part of the No. 24 Bulldog men’s tennis team in his second season
  • Contributed to the U of R’s 3-2 start to the pandemic-shortened season
  • Owned the No. 5 slot in the lineup
  • Posted an undefeated 7-0 mark in singles without dropping a set during the spring
  • Dominated foes from Westmont College (exhibition) and Christopher Newport University, with 6-1, 6-1 results in each match
  • Joined forces with Thomas Reznik as the U of R’s No. 2 doubles tandem
  • Posted a 5-4 record between the fall and spring matches

  • A key contributor to the squad that went 13-6 overall and 5-2 in SCIAC
  • Helped Redlands earn a spot in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament semifinals
  • Part of the team that finished the season ranked 18th in the nation

  • Primarily combined forces with Thomas Reznik as a solid No. 2 doubles duo
