The No. 25 University of Redlands men's soccer team crushed the Cal Lutheran University Kingsmen in a late afternoon affair at Farquhar Field by a final score of 7-0. The Bulldogs have now registered at least a hat trick in 10 games while outscoring their opponents, 50-9, in 2011.

Nine different Bulldogs landed in the point column, including six players with a multi-point performance during Wednesday's Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition.

Junior midfielder Gabe Ramirez (Pasadena, CA) found the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season to initiate the scoring in the seventh minute. Senior forward Jamie Griffin (Seattle, WA) and sophomore midfielder Pat Roraff (Redlands, CA) set up the play with a smooth right-to-left cross.

Redlands tacked on one more netter before the end of the first half as sophomore midfielder Tim Berggren (Salt Lake City, UT) notched his first career Bulldog score.

Holding a 2-0 lead, the squad really found its offensive rhythm during the final 45 minutes, striking home five more goals.

Senior forward Cody Carlson (Burbank, CA) one-touched a solid cross from Griffin less than four minutes into the second half, resulting in a 3-0 advantage.

Roraff contributed once again by recording his first home netter of the season merely 35 seconds after Carlson's score.

Junior forward Alex Laughton (Pleasanton, CA) collected his third goal of the year in the 59th minute, giving the Maroon and Gray plenty of breathing room.

During a late six-minute span, rookie reserve forward Charles Izydorek (Redlands, CA) notched the second multi-goal game of his young career to cap off the Bulldogs' onslaught.

A trio of goalkeepers contributed to the team's 10th overall shutout and seventh in a row. Sophomore Andreas Silva (San Jose, CA) picked up the victory with four saves while seniors Jason Smuckler (Glenwood Hills, CA) and Charles Pratt IV (Phoenix, AX) finished out the final 23:50 minutes for the Maroon and Gray.

The Bulldogs (12-3-0, 9-0-0 SCIAC) take on the Poets of Whittier College in an important conference tilt on Saturday under the lights of Farquhar Field at 7 p.m.
