Bulldog Men's Golf sits in 2nd Place after two rounds at ERAU Invitational

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The University of Redlands Men's Golf team entered the Embry-Riddle Aeronautic University (ERAU) Invitational Sunday as the No. 19 ranked team in Division III. 

After 36 holes on Day 1 the Bulldogs sit in 2nd Place after shooting a 299-291 (590).  They trail the hosts ERAU by a stroke, but are 12 strokes up on Benedictine University – Mesa (3rd – 602) and Arizona Christian University (3rd – 602).  Other teams in the field include Park University – Gilbert (5th – 631), and Whittier College (6th – 632). 

Three Bulldogs sit inside the Top-10 with Aaron Buck (Tualatin, OR) currently sitting in third following a 70-73 putting him three strokes behind the leader. 

Joshua Fambro (Taos, N.M.) continues his great start to his senior season as he sits right behind Buck, in fourth.  Fambro shot a 74-72.  Zane Mularski (Spokane, WA) is the third Bulldog inside the Top-10 sitting in a tie for sixth-place after a pair of 74s. 

Other Bulldogs competing include Spencer Leader (Oakland, CA) who fought back from an opening 81 to shoot a 72, placing him in a tie for 14thJake Yim (Lake Oswego, OR) who also shot an opening 81 was able to shave off seven strokes to a 74 placing him in a tie for 16th

Two other Bulldogs are also competing in the event but are taking part as individuals.  Mario Dino (Denver, CO) is in a tie for 16th after an 81-74 and Jay Briggs Jr. (Columbus, OH) is in a tie for 36th with an 84-85.    

The Bulldogs return to the Antelope Hills North Course at 8:00 a.m. for third round action.
