2022 University of Redlands Men's Golf Schedule

REDLANDS, Calif. – Jamie Zantua, Head Coach for the University of Redlands Men's Golf team announced his 2022 schedule Wednesday, which includes three trips to San Antonio, TX, Las Vegas, NV, and Jekyll Island, GA.

The Maroon and Grey will kick off their spring half of their season with a trip to San Antonio, Texas for the San Antonio Shoot-Out on Monday and Tuesday, February 21-22.  This will prepare them for the first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament, which will be played February 26-27 at Olivas Links Golf Club in Ventura, CA. 

A pair of tournaments out of state make up the schedule in March.  The Bulldogs open with a trip to Las Vegas, NV for the Winona State University Warrior Invitational on March 7-8 to be played at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.  They then return for a week before heading out to Jekyll Island, GA for the Jekyll Island Invitational from March 18-20 to be played at Jekyll Island Golf Club (Pine Lakes Course). 

SCIAC No. 2 jumpstarts the competition in April on the 9-10.  The two-day event will take place at Industry Hills Golf Club in the City of Industry.  Redlands then caps off the month with the three-day SCIAC Championships, which will be hosted by the U of R from April 24-26 at Morongo Golf Club (Tukwet Canyon) in Beaumont, CA.  This will be the final tune-up before the NCAA Division III National Championships, which will take place from May 10-13 in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL (Mission Inn Resort and Club).         

In the fall the Bulldogs took sixth at the California State Intercollegiate, third at the Bulldog Fall Invitational, and second at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Invitational.

Tournament Schedule History

(All tournaments are listed in order from the schedule, only non-conference tournaments included)

• San Antonio Shoot-Out (San Antonio, TX): Have not competed in this event as of Spring 2008.
• Winona State University Warrior Invitational (Las Vegas, NV, Stallion Mountain Golf Club): The last time the Bulldogs were in Nevada was for the Las Vegas Desert Classic in 2019. This will be the first time competing in the Winona State Invitational and the first time at Stallion Mountain Golf Club as of Spring 2008.
• Jekyll Island Invitational (Oglethorpe) (Jekyll Island, GA, Jekyll Island Golf Club-Pines Island): The 2020 edition of the tournament was cancelled. No previous trips to this tournament, golf club, or the state of Georgia as of Spring 2008.
• NCAA Championships (Howey-in-the-Hills, FL, Mission Inn Resort and Club): The previous trip to Florida and the Bulldogs last trip to Howey-in-the-Hills was in May of 2012 at another NCAA Division III National Championship where they finished fifth.
