SCIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Release (No. 1)

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Basketball Athletes of the Week in the first week of voting and University of Redlands sophomore guard Justice Marmara (Arlington, TX) was named the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week.    

Justice helped Redlands to a 1-1 week to start the 2021-22 campaign as the Bulldogs fell to No. 19 Whitworth, 74-68, before defeating Pacific (Ore.), 76-66 during the Tip-Off Classic. Marmara averaged 13.5 points per game during the stretch, netting 18 in the loss to Whitworth and nine in the win over Pacific. He shot 52.6% from the floor (10-of-19) and collected 17 rebounds. He also added a steal and blocked a shot in addition to dishing out three assists. 

Redlands has their home opener this Saturday, November 13 when they host the University of Puget Sound beginning at 7:00pm.
