SCIAC Football Weekly Release No. 5

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Football Athletes of the Week in the fifth week of voting and University of Redlands senior Running Back Andrew Kellstrom (San Bernardino, CA) was selected as the Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career. 

The University of Redlands Football team picked up their first win of 2022 in their SCIAC Opener beating California Lutheran University 35-14 as they retained the Smudge Pot Trophy.  The Bulldogs relied on Kellstrom on the ground who accounted for 24 of the points when he rushed for 143 yards and a career high four touchdowns.  He averaged 7.9 yards per carry on 18 rushes.  His long score being from 28-yards out.  He now ranks No. 2 in the program record books for most touchdowns in a single game.

Redlands returns to the field this Saturday, October 15 when they travel to Orange County to take on Chapman University beginning at 7:05pm.
