SCIAC Football Weekly Release (No. 7)

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week in the seventh week of voting.  University of Redlands junior place kicker Brendan Marmion (Aliso Viejo, CA) was selected as the Football Specialist of the Week.

Marmion is the third Bulldog this year to win SCIAC Specialist of the Week honors following Vicente Garcia (Week 6) and Giovanni Isles (Week 5) who earned recognition over the past two weeks.       

Brendan helped solidify Redlands' 34-18 victory over Pomona-Pitzer with his efforts in the kicking game. Marmion was 2-for-2 in field goal attempts, hitting from 27 yards and 21 yards out. He was also a perfect 4-for-4 in extra-point attempts in the contest to account for 10 of the Bulldogs' points. 

The University of Redlands Football team looks forward to a homecoming game this Saturday, October 23 against Chapman University (5-1) beginning at 7:00pm.
