REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Football team is coming off a dominant 51-7 win at the University of La Verne last week. The win moves the Bulldogs to 4-1, 2-0 SCIAC. Redlands outgained the Leopards 448-175, were plus two in turnover margin, more than doubled the Leopards yards/play average at 6.6 and had a 5-1 sack advantage.

U of R also had two players named Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) athletes of the week. Graduate Brandon Serrano (Chino, Calif.) won defensive player of the week and sophomore Vicente Garcia (Fontana, Calif.) won specialist of the week.

It's "Take a Kid to the Game Night" here in week seven for the Bulldogs as host the 3-2, 1-0 SCIAC Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer at Ted Runner Stadium on Saturday, October 16 with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.

Pomona-Pitzer is coming off a bye week so they have an extra week of preparation. Like the Bulldogs, the Sagehens' last game was a blowout win, beating Whittier College 56-3 at home on October 2. The Sagehens outgained the Poets 565-154, held Whittier to 4-of-18 on third down attempts, only allowed 2.4 yards/play while averaging nine yards per play themselves.  The Sagehens did lose the turnover battle 2-1 and the TOP 32:44-27:16 (Pomona-Pitzer has lost the TOP in all but one of their five games).
