SCIAC Football Weekly Release (No. 1)

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week Tuesday.  University of Redlands senior running back Kai Thompson (Murrieta, CA) was selected as the Football Offensive Athlete of the Week following a strong performance against George Fox University.    

Thompson led the rushing attack in the Bulldogs' 24-14 victory over the Bruins in the season opener. He logged 154 yards on 26 carries averaging 5.9 yards per attempt. He powered in for a touchdown and broke off a long run of 36 yards to highlight the week one offensive efforts.

He looks to lead the Bulldogs into a Week 2 non-conference match-up with University of Puget Sound.  Kickoff slated for 7:00pm.
